Family and Public Life
Family and Public Life Initiative (FLP)
We aim to collaborate with professionals from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors who share a strong commitment to families and are interested in exploring ways to improve their own work. We offer resources, training, and support to professionals working at local, national, and global levels.
We’re equally committed to equipping educators and the rising generation with the skills and knowledge to make the most of their degrees and contribute to a broader understanding of families in the public sphere. This includes our target arenas of Government, Humanitarian Affairs, Media & Communication, Family History, Entertainment, Business, Non-Profit, Public Policy, and Law.
The Family and Public Life (FLP) initiative will offer a variety of opportunities for current and future educators to learn about family literacy. In development are curriculum modules that can complement existing university coursework, a high school and university course (“Family in Public Life”), a two-day on-campus workshops for students, and an annual Summer Institute for educators.
We invite those interested in partnering with us to send an email: familypubliclife@gmail.com
